Comparison of MiST recordings
I made a few recordings from the MiST FPGA board, of some 1-bit musics:
- Robotix, by AtariTufty: musiques/divers/divers_ataritufty_robotix_mist.ogg
- Vapeurs d'alcool, by Garvalf: musiques/divers/divers_garvalf_vapeurs_alcool_mist_contended.ogg
- you can compare with the original version: musiques/divers/divers_garvalf_-_1-myth_06_vapeurs_alcool_original_zx.ogg
The qchan engine seems to be quite acurately recreated by the MiST, but on the other hand the same engine sounds quite the same on emulators such as fuse.
Here is an other engine, Octode:
