**OPL**
The [Yamaha YM3812 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamaha_YM3812] chip, also known as OPL2 (FM Operator Type-L), and the [Yamaha YMF262 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamaha_YMF262] (OPL3) could be found on old AdLib and Sound Blaster soundcards (mostly ISA type). They use the [Frequency modulation synthesis FM https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frequency_modulation_synthesis], like on the Yamaha DX7 synth.


**OPN**
YM2203 (OPN) and YM2608 (OPNA) chips, can be found in Japanese NEC PC-88 and PC-98 computers.
